NORTH SMITHFIELD – Banneker Industries employees volunteered to help assemble and distribute care packages for Rhode Island residents serving in the military and stationed away from home over the holidays in the 15th annual Operation Holiday Cheer event at the Warwick Armory on Nov. 18.

Nadia Redder, Banneker Industries supply-chain manager, said in a statement, the annual volunteer event is “near and dear to the hearts” of Banneker employees – many of whom include military reservists, veterans and military family members.

Involved for the past five years, this year Banneker Industries employees helped other volunteers complete more than 500 packages for shipment.
