Each year the company has a week of service in which Beacon employees volunteer at local organizations – including Hope Alzheimer’s Center in Cranston, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank in Providence, Gotta Have Sole Foundation and more – to lend a helping hand for eight hours each day. Broadbent, the company’s vice president of human resources, says Beacon staffers are “very proud to be a part of the community.”
In terms of uplifting the Beacon community, in 2024 Neves – Beacon’s HR generalist – became the company’s first certified mental health first aid instructor. Neves has also assisted 20 other Beacon employees with becoming mental health trainers.
