Bell again is No. 1 in customer support

FORT WORTH, Texas – For the 13th straight year, Bell Helicopter has been ranked No. 1 in customer support by Professional Pilot Magazine’s annual customer survey.

The full report, published in this month’s edition of the magazine, shows that Bell improved on its previous score. Its average score this year was 7.66 points, compared with last year’s 7.59, and the company led other turbine-helicopter makers in all seven categories.

“To receive this accolade for 13 years in a row from Professional Pilot Magaine and our customers is a tremendous honor,” said Mike Blake, Bell’s executive vice president for programs.

Warehouse management, field-support evaluation and spares delivery rate were among the categories in which the company’s rating improved.

Bell said that, though it increased its spares deliveries last year by 20 percent, demand continues to outpace capacity. To close that gap, the company said it plans “considerable capital investment and process improvements” in the next few years.
