LINCOLN – Greg Berard, former general manager of sales and services for Lighthouse Computer Services Inc., will now head the IT company’s operations following his promotion to president, effective Aug. 22.

Berard, who joined Lighthouse in 2014 after more than a decade as a senior executive at IBM, shepherded the company’s recent acquisition of Cambridge-based Good Dog Labs in June, as well as the January 2016 acquisition of Creative Computing Inc.

Tom Mrva, founder and CEO of Lighthouse, cited both acquisitions in lauding Berard’s leadership, under which he said the company deepened its expertise in cloud and infrastructure technology, expanded its team and became the “go-to IT partner” for its clients.

“Greg’s promotion to president marks the next milestone in Lighthouse’s growth as an integrated, full-service IT solution provider,” said Mrva in the release announcing Berard’s promotion. “As president of Lighthouse, Greg will continue to help guide the firm’s growth and direction, and will manage all of Lighthouse’s practices and internal operations.”

With Berard taking over operations at Lighthouse, Mrva said he intends to devote his efforts to client outreach and expanding the company’s services and capabilities.

Founded in 1995, Lighthouse Computer Services is an IT solutions and services firm headquartered in Lincoln that offers consulting and management options in cloud technology, security, infrastructure, analytics and business development. Lighthouse currently serves clients in both the U.S. and Canada, with more than 20 years of enterprise IT experience.

“I believe one reason we keep growing is that, without exception, everyone at Lighthouse – whether they’re from tech, sales, management, operations or finance – shares a spirit of teamwork and driving client value,” said Berard. “It’s what first attracted me to Lighthouse. It’s a privilege to now serve as president.”
