FALL RIVER – Bristol Community College announced July 13 that it has named Shirin Esther Edwin the college’s new dean of arts and humanities.
Edwin previously worked as an associate professor of comparative literature at New York University Shanghai in China and as a global network associate professor for NYU before arriving at Bristol Community College, the college said. She also previously served as a French associate professor at Same Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

The college also said Edwin authored multiple articles in journals on pedagogy, diversity and research in languages, literatures and gender at the Modern Language Association and National Women’s Studies Association, among other scholarly venues.
