TAUNTON – Bristol County Savings Bank has once again been approved to participate in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston Equity Builder Grant Program.
The approval means income-eligible, first-time homebuyers in Bristol County, Franklin, Wrentham, Plainville or Pawtucket can apply for a grant of up to $15,000 to assist with a down payment or closing costs.
The grants are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Like several other banks and credit unions in the region, Bristol County Savings Bank has been allotted up to $100,000 for the program, which helps households with incomes less than 80 percent of the area median income.
