Bryant students get help from Target to take exam

SMITHFIELD – Two seniors at Bryant University have won $250 scholarships from Target to take the Professional in Human Resources Certification Exam, a credential that management department chairwoman Lori Coakley said “will differentiate them from their peers at other institutions, and strengthen their resumes.”
The students, Andrew Brousell and Rebekah Provost, were members of the Bryant SHRM team that competed in the Northeast Regional HR Games last March at Rutgers University; it was the first time that Bryant students participated.
The HR Games is a Jeopardy-style competition designed to help students prepare for the HR profession, as well as the PHR Certification Exam. Throughout the conference, students also had the chance to meet with professionals in the field, get their r?sum?s critiqued and take personality evaluations to examine individual strengths and characteristics.
The six-person Bryant team finished 13th out of 21 teams.
