NEW BEDFORD – Bufftree Building Co. last week announced the completion of a $1 million renovation of the Global Learning Charter Public School in the city’s North End.
“Most of the work was done inside, our goal being to improve the functionality of the building and make it safer and more comfortable for the students,” Project Manager Gary Laboa said in a statement.

The five-month project included bringing the building up to Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards by building a new ramp and handicapped-accessible entrance, the contractor said.
Designers for the project were Mount Vernon Group Architects of Woburn, Mass.
