Thomas Cousineau
Robinson Green Beretta Corporation has appointed Thomas Cousineau, AIA, as an architect. He joined the firm in 1995 as an intern. He worked previously at the Brown University Plant Operation Department as assistant project manager. A graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology, Cousineau has contributed to the design of the Museum of Work and Culture in Woonsocket, as well as several of RGB’s projects at Brown University and the Community College of Rhode Island.

Courtenay Dubois
Courtenay Du-bois has been hired by the RDW Group, a Rhode Island communications firm, as a media planner and buyer. Dubois is responsible for researching and planning media replacements for RDW accounts. Prior to joining RDW Group, she worked as a print media buyer for Hair Cuttery, as an assistant media planner for Stackig Advertising and Public Relations, both in Virginia, and as a media assistant for Goldberg. Marchesano. Partners, Inc. in Washington DC. Dubois earned her bachelor of arts degree in corporate communications from Elon College in North Carolina. She is also a member and two-time former vice president of Women in Communications.

Sergio Vieira has joined E.W. Burman, Inc., as project manager in Warwick. Currently overseeing projects in Providence, East Providence and New Bedford, Vieira is responsible for all operations at these sites, including sub-contracted work and relationships with owners and architects. A 1998 graduates of the Wentworth Institute in Boston, he previously completed his co-op requirements with the Burman organization while obtaining his bachelor of science degree in architectural engineering.

Tom Petot
Tom Petot has joined Sylvester Consulting Group after previously being employed at The Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Virginia and The Mill Street Inn at Newport. Tom will direct the firm’s practice in the areas of management, marketing, development and recruitment services for inns, hotels and restaurants. Tom also served as Controller and Director of Food and Beverage at The Stratton Mountain Inn & Village Lodge in Vermont.

Larry Taft
Larry Taft has been named the director of properties and acquisitions for the Audubon Society of Rhode Island. Taft will be responsible for supervising the ten local refuges open to the public. He will also be in charge of the Society’s land acquisition activities including donations, bequests, conservation easements and purchases. Taft is the former executive director of the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown as well as an education coordinator in 1985 and a summer camp assistant director in 1983. He has a baxhelor of science degree in Natural Resources from URI and a master of science degree in Environmental Studies from Antioch/New England Graduate School in Keene, New Hampshire.

Carol DeLory has been elected an Investment Officer in Amica Mutual Insurance Company’s investment department. DeLory, a graduate of the Community College of Rhode Island, began working for Amica in 1987 as an associate accountant and has earned three promotions prior to her election as an officer. Amica is an insurer of automobiles, homeowners, marine and personal umbrella insurance nation-wide.

Lawrence R. Robins
Lawrence R. Robins has joined the law firm of Hinckley, Allen and Snyder as a partner and will work in the Boston and Providence offices. His practice will concentrate in the acquisition, licensing and enforcement of intellectual property rights for individuals, companies and universities. Previously Robins was at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, L.L.P. in Boston, with Digital Equipment Corporation, and as a partner with Laff, Whitesel, Conte & Saret in Chicago. He is an Adjunct Professor of Trademark Law at Suffolk University Law School in Boston and earned his juris doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in Chicago in 1982. Robins received a bachelor of arts from Emory University and a masters degree in management, marketing and finance from Northwestern University.

James J. Warbur-ton, Jr., was named senior sales associate at Clar-kin Corporation. He has over thirty-five years of experience in both residential and commercial sales in the Greater Rhode Island area. Warburton has earn-ed the designations of G.R. I (Graduate, Realtors Institute) and C.R.S. (Certified Residential Specialist) during his career. He is a graduate of Bryant College.
