David R. Pregaman
David R. Preng-aman was recently named a principal at Vision III Architects. He joins founding principals William E. Gray and Keith R. Davignon. His new duties include directing the firm’s healthcare projects, as well as to managing projects in the college, university and corporate office markets. Prengaman joined the firm in 1992 and has held positions of project architect, project manager and associate principal. He is a registered architect graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is also certified as a document technologist by the Construction Specifications Institute. He currently serves on the board of trustees at St. Mary’s Academy – Bay View.

Robert Volpi
Robert Volpi of Metro Honda in Johnston has earned the distinction of being recognized as one of the top 20 Honda salespeople in the entire United States for the third consecutive year. Volpi was also named for the third time in as many years, the top volume salesperson throughout the 116 automobile dealerships in Honda’s northeast zone. The Johnston resident’s achievement was formally recognized by American Honda in ceremonies, which also marked his induction into the manufacturer’s National Council of Sales Leadership.

Shannon Dunnigan
Shannon Dunn-igan was promoted to marketing manager of projo-.com, the web site of the Providence Journal Company. Joining the company in 1997 as an advertising sales representative, Dunnigan will now oversee the marketing of the web site, including the analysis of growth opportunities and the tracking of demographic, technological and cultural developments. She will also serve as a liaison with the promotion, research, market development, advertising and circulation departments. Dunnigan received her master’s degree from Bryant College. She has worked in the community as an ambassador for the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Women & Infants’ Executive Fellows Round Table and as a volunteer at the Dora C. Howard Day Center.

Mark J. Hash-way has joined O. Ahlborg & Sons, Inc. as a project development executive. He has more than eighteen years of experience in management and corporate development for educational, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, retail and commercial facilities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Roger Williams University.

Ramesh J. Gulati
Ramesh J. Gulati has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards as a licensed certified financial planner in accordance with CFP Board requirements. Gulati, the president of Gulati Asset Management LLC in Providence, specializes in asset allocation, individual equity selection, estate, retirement, and tax planning for individuals and corporations. An honors graduate from Boston College with double majors in finance and marketing, he worked with American Express Financial Advisors for five years and resigned at the end of last year to start his company.

Francis J. Telford
Francis J. Tel-ford was recently promoted to dining room manager at the Long Wharf Steakhouse by Eastern Resorts Company of Newport. He will oversee the day to day operations of the dining room and lounge. Telford was previously the bar manager and has been with the company for five years. Prior experience in the hospitality industry includes positions at the Providence Marriott, the Newport Marriott, and Tycoons Restaurant. He recently completed several AHMA courses adding to education he received at Johnson & Wales University for the Culinary Arts and through the U.S. Navy Food Service Program.
Debbie Major
Debbie Major has been promoted to director of operations for Merry Maids, a Service Master company. She is responsible for the daily operations of the newly-acquired East Bay franchise, as well as the parent company, which serves most of Rhode Island. Included within these responsibilities are client relations, personnel management, and computer operations. Prior to joining the company, Major was employed by two other Service Master companies, Tru-green and Terminix.

Lance Gershenoff, treasurer and partner of The Kala Corporation, located in East Greenwich, was invited by the Italian government to be part of its ten-member United States Delegation to Cosmoprof, a cosmetics and personal care trade show in Bologna, Italy that ran from April 23 – 26. With 1,400 exhibitors representing 100 different countries, the show is the largest of its kind. Kala imports fine toiletries such as soaps, powders and dental products from Europe, and distributes them to department stores and retail stores across the U.S. and Canada.

Kevin McHale has been appointed vice president and CEO of Easter Seals RI/Cranston Arc. His responsibilities include financial and program planning, supervision of program services and administration. McHale has held management positions at various local agencies for people with disabilities, most recently at the J. Arthur Trudeau Center.

Sharon Glaude has joined Home Instead Senior Care as a community relations coordinator. She is responsible for client services, business development and community outreach programs. In her role she will promote Home Instead’s non-medical services to health and social services professionals who work with seniors in maintaining an independent lifestyle. She was previously a social worker for Hillside Adult Day Health and grant coordinator for the Balfour Retiree Program.
