The new company will have offices in Providence at One Providence Washington Plaza and another in Wakefield at 212 Main St. The company announced that it will offer business valuations and litigation support, business consulting, estate planning, as well as accounting and tax services and IT support.

Paul A. Collamati
Paul A. Collamati has joined First Federal Savings Bank of America (Firstfed) in Fall River, Mass., as a vice president and relationship manager in the business banking group. He will be responsible for the specialized lending of lines of credit to mortgage bankers and the financing of residential subdivisions. He was previously employed as executive vice president at Security Funding Corporation. Collamati is a Certified Public Accountant and a resident of North Smithfield.
Ann M. Card
Ann M. Card has been promoted to assistant vice president and assistant branch manager at Washington Trust Company’s Charlestown office. Her responsibilities include assisting with the overall operations of the branch, including customer service, consumer loans and residential mortgages. She has previously served as a customer service representative, teller, and administrative assistant for Washington Trust. She received her associate’s degree in business administration from Community College of Rhode Island, and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in management from Providence College. Card resides in Charlestown.

Robert Shaw
Robert Shaw was recently elected president of ITS America’s newly formed Intelligent Transportation Society, Rhode Island Chapter. Shaw is a vice president and principal at VHB/Vanesse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., an engineering, planning and applied sciences firm. An adjunct associate professor in the University of Rhode Island’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, Shaw has been a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers since 1965, and has served on the Rhode Island Consulting Engineers Board of Directors since 1993. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1964 from the University of Rhode Island and his master’s from Purdue University in 1966. He is a registered professional engineer in 11 states.

Gerald M. Paulhus
Gerald M. Paulhus has been named executive director at Lincoln Place, an Epoch Senior Living community in Lincoln. Paulhus will be responsible for overseeing operations at the assisted living community, which opened in May 2000. His previous experience includes positions at Village House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Newport as administrator and Eastland Bank in Woonsocket as vice president. A member of the American College of Health Care Administrators and the Rhode Island Health Care Association, Paulhus resides in Cumberland.
Scott Berns, MD
Scott Berns, M.D., has been selected by the bipartisan Commission on White House Fellowships. White House Fellows spend a year as full-time assistant to senior White House staff, the Vice President, Cabinet officers and other top-ranking government officials. Berns, the founder and co-director of the Injury Prevention Center of the department of emergency medicine at Rhode Island, Hasbro Children’s and Miriam Hospitals, holds a bachelor of arts and medical degree from Boston University, as well as a master’s degree in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health. He lives in Foxboro, Mass. with his wife and son.

Botwick was recently promoted to assistant manager for the Rhode Island market. Christopher D. Reilly has been named vice president of property and casualty operations at BenefitConnections.com, a division of the New England Benefit Companies, Inc. Formerly an assistant vice president with Aon, Reilly is responsible for creating and maintaining the on-line property and casualty division, leading the division’s new business development and initiating a customer service call center to address business and quote inquiries generated through the com-pany’s Web site.

A graduate of Rhode Island College where he received a bachelor’s degree in Geography, Dupre was previously employed as property manager for Knowledge Innovation Perseverance and Success, Limited in Providence. K.I.P.S, Ltd acquires and restores historic properties throughout the city. In addition to management duties, Peter also aided in the acquisition of properties.
