Wayne Vieira
Wayne Vieira has been promoted to vice president of design services at Advertising Ventures Incorporated in Providence. He will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of clients’ design projects, including publications, advertising campaigns, collateral materials, Web sites, and interactive media. He was previously employed as art director at Medical World Publishing in Providence. Vieira earned his bachelor’s of fine arts degree in illustration from Rhode Island School of Design where he is an adjunct professor teaching computer graphics and Photoshop. He is a resident of Dighton, Mass.

Paul Castellone
Paul Castellone has been promoted to project architect at Vision III Architects, Inc. of Providence. He will assume the responsibilities of project manager from design through construction administration. He is also responsible for client contact and project management for various clients. Castellone is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, a board member for the Capital City Community Center and a member of the American Institute of Architects, serving on the board of directors for the Rhode Island chapter. He resides in Warwick with his wife, Lisa.

Steven J. Grasso
Steven J. Grasso has joined Bank Rhode Island as assistant vice president/ business development officer of its small business banking unit. His responsibilities include management of a small business loan portfolio, including the bank’s SBA loan products, and development of new business in this area. Grasso holds a bachelor’s degree from Bryant college, a master’s in business administration from Providence College, and a general banking degree from the New England School of Banking at William College. A Cranston resident, he is a member of the Greater Cranston Chamber of Commerce, Central RI Chamber of Commerce and Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve.
Stephanie M. Sleeper
Stephanie M. Sleeper has been appointed branch manager at the People’s Credit Union. She will be responsible for managing operations of the Credit Union’s Thames Street office. She previously was employed as sales and service manager for Bank Boston. Sleeper attended Bryant College, where she studied marketing and communications. She resides in Newport with her husband James and their son Carlton.

Lisa V. Medeiros
Lisa V. Medeiros has been named executive director of the Manufacturer’s Partnership, Inc., a consortium of all manufacturing companies in Rhode Island which focuses on issues of work-force development. She will be responsible for program oversight, fiscal administration and marketing of all workforce development initiatives targeted toward the current and future manufacturing workforce offered through the partnership. Medeiros previously served as the program coordinator for the partnership. A resident of Providence, she is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she received a bachelor’s degree in communications.

Maureen M. Devine
Maureen M. Devine has been appointed promotion manager at The Providence Journal. She will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision, advancement and success of the operational side of the promotion department’s staff and projects. She will also be involved in the tactical planning, project management and coordination of internal and external department sales and marketing initiatives. Devine has previously served as promotion specialist, coordinator and assistant for The Providence Journal. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and a resident of East Greenwich.

Eileen Evans has been promoted to sales manager at DeWolfe Companies’ Bristol and Newport offices. She was a member of the Million Dollar Club in 1998 and 1999 and was named a master associate in 1997 along with winning the Relocation Service Award and the Preserving the Client Trust Award in 1997. Evans is a member of the National, Rhode Island and Greater Providence Board of realtors and her local Chamber of Commerce. She is licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, holds the GRI Certification and is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

Robert M. Lake has been named director of business development for Qualified Resources, Inc. of Cranston and Paw-tucket. He will be responsible for developing new business in Northern RI and southeastern Massachusetts and for expanding the business base. Lake previously served as director of business operations for Capitol Home Care Network, Inc. He is the treasurer of the RI Partnership for Home Care board of directors and a resident of Warwick.

His responsibilities include business development and professional recruitment, focusing on information technology, finance, and telecom, covering Rhode Island, southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod. Prior to joining Manpower, Goldberg was a computer Management Consultant with Price Water-house Coopers, and previously served as vice president of information systems at Old Stone Bank.
