HYANNIS, Mass. and WARWICK – Cape Air is set to resume its seasonal service from T.F. Green Airport to the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, according to the Hyannis-based airline and the R.I. Airport Corporation.
“We intend to kick off our Island service on [Friday], May 4th with a mini celebration at the Cape Air counter,” said airline communications director Michelle Haynes.
Passengers outbound from T.F. Green will be greeted with refreshments and a chance to win free tickets and other prizes. The airline also is promoting its new online ticketing service, Haynes said.
“It’s always great to welcome Cape Air back to Green,” said Patti Goldstein, the airport’s vice president of public affairs and air-service marketing. “As part of our Terminal Improvement Project,” she noted, “travelers this season will get to see significant changes [to the airport lobby], which have improved flow though the security checkpoint.”
Beginning this Friday, Cape Air said it will offer three round-trips per day to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard from the Warwick airport. It plans to increase service to six round-trips per day on May 18, and will resume hourly service on June 8 .
