WARWICK – The National Council on Aging has named “Steady Strides,” the VNA of Care New England’s falls prevention program, one of the nation’s top 10 programs in home assessment and modification to reduce hazards and prevent falls.
“Falls are not a normal part of aging, and there are many risks that can be addressed that will reduce the number of falls in older adults,” said James Firman, NCOA president and CEO. Steady Strides helps prevent falls and fall-related injuries for older adults who struggle with balance, decreased vision, muscle weakness and other risk factors.
