WARWICK – Community College of Rhode Island admissions officials are hitting the beach – among other places – to recruit students next week.
A mobile recruit team is visiting three Rhode Island beaches, two libraries and Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence over two days in an effort to meet potential students where “they live and work,” CCRI said.

Admissions and enrollment specialists will be available to speak with prospective students, providing information on the college’s academic programs, the Rhode Island Promise scholarship program and financial aid.
Individuals will be able to apply for CCRI at the mobile stations.
“We know that people are busy during the summer and it is important for us to meet prospective students where they live and work,” said Terri Kless, CCRI director of admissions. “Our mobile recruit team can answer questions and help people apply right there. It is the fastest, easiest and most-convenient way for individuals to start or continue on their college path.”

Wednesday, June 19
- Central Falls’ Adams Public Library, 205 Central St., 9 a.m.-noon
- Pawtucket Public Library, 13 Summer St., 1-4 p.m.
- Providence’s Kennedy Plaza, 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 20
- Second Beach in Middletown, 8-11 a.m.
- Narragansett Town Beach, noon-3 p.m.
- Misquamicut State Beach in Westerly, 4-7 p.m.
