CCRI completes work on library and dental lab

WARWICK – Renovations at the Community College of Rhode Island’s Knight Campus library here and the Flanagan Campus Dental Health Laboratories in Lincoln have been completed, funded by the school’s $5.5 million capital campaign.
Modernization was a goal of the renovation projects at both locations. At the local library, the largest at any of CCRI’s four campuses, the space originally built in the 1970s before the digital age has been refurbished and updated.
CCRI officials said students can now work on new computers, and they have access to Internet-connected computer stations for their own laptops.
The Dental Assisting Lab in Lincoln underwent aesthetic renovations and, more importantly, added new dental-practice mannequins, digital X-ray capabilities and new examination chairs and computers to help students track patient information.
CCRI’s $5.5 million “Imagine: The Campaign for Endless Possibilities” capital campaign helps the college build state-of-the-art facilities, establish scholarships and enhance its athletic program. &#8226
