PROVIDENCE – HealthSource RI is proposing a new amendment to its rules and regulations and is accepting public comment until the end of the month.
The new amendment proposes to establish a program to automatically enroll eligible individuals who lose Medicaid at the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency into a health plan available through HealthSource RI. It also aims to establish a program that would pay an eligible individual’s first- and second-month’s premium for medical coverage using funds from the State Fiscal Recovery Fund. This program would also pay eligible individual’s first- and second-month’s dental coverage if they are enrolled in dental coverage. The public can see the proposed changes online. HealthSource RI is accepting public comment until Dec. 28. Comments can be submitted via email to hbe.regulations@exchange.ri.gov.
