Cornerstone Management moves in N.B.

NEW BEDFORD – Cornerstone Property Management celebrated last week its one month anniversary in its new home.
The company moved on Brook Avenue from the South End to its new location at 1502 Purchase St. on Aug. 1. Owner John Egan said the 2,000 square-foot leased office is twice the size of the company’s former offices.
Cornerstone manages commercial buildings and hundreds of apartments. Egan said the new location in downtown New Bedford is easier to reach.
“It’s just a good move to be able to better service the landlord and the tenants,” he said. “It’s more convenient for everybody involved, including me.”
Besides larger digs, the new location also provides a storage space and loading dock where workers can pack trucks headed out on maintenance calls. Egan has also set aside an area to house the Greater New Bedford Landlord Association, of which he is president.
Egan had been at his former location since 1986 but he said he’s not upset about leaving.
