Cox offers streaming video on its site

WEST WARWICK – Cox Communications announced the full launch of its television streaming option on May 10.
Customers can now access TV shows and movies through cox.com/tv, in addition to its TV and On Demand options.
Cox said its online service include news, thousands of movies and cable networks such as TNT and TBS.
In order to stream TV online, users will need their Cox username and password, and networks such as HBO or Epix require the TV subscriptions.
“TV Online is yet another example of how we are making our customers’ entertainment and communications flexible and customizable,” said Doreen Studley, vice president of marketing at Cox New England.
The online site allows users to filter by genre, network and by movie ratings (G, PG).
Cox began its venture into online TV streaming by allowing its Epix and Vutopia customers to watch movies online last summer. In December, it introduced a select number of cable networks.
