PROVIDENCE – CyberScout, an identity protection, identity-theft recovery and breach services company with offices in Providence, was named Cyber Service Vendor of the Year by Advisen, a data, media and technology company serving the insurance market.
The people’s choice award was presented at a gala in New York City, the company said in a press release. The company “received more nominations and more votes than ever before, demonstrating the increasing level of excitement for these awards,” according to Rebecca Bole, editor-in-chief at Advisen.

The annual gala event at Gotham Hall brings together the cybersecurity community, including carriers and reinsurers, brokers and wholesalers, lawyers, technology companies and cyberservice providers for networking and recognition, according to the press release.
Levin founded CyberScout in 2003, as Identity Theft 911. The company’s name was changed in 2017.
