Dassault launches Isight 5.0

PROVIDENCE – Dassault Systemes, provider of 3D and product lifecycle management software, announced the launch of its Isight 5.0 product from Simulia on Jan. 13.
Isight 5.0 is an open system for integrating design and simulation models, created with various CAD, CAE and other software applications – to automate the execution of hundreds – or even thousands – of simulations, the company said in a news release.
“Isight’s open architecture enabled us to rapidly implement a workflow component that our customers can use to integrate AVL BOOST, EXCITE and FIRE simulation tasks into their Isight workflows to optimize powertrain designs,” said Jürgen Krasser, manager of software engineering in advanced simulation technologies at AVL, in a news release published by Dassault.
Dassault said Isight 5.0 helps users to save time and improve their products by optimizing them against performance or cost variables through statistical methods such as Design of Experiments or Design for Six Sigma.
The Eclipse plug-in facilitates creating customized Isight applications, Dassault said.
