PROVIDENCE – On Pine Street, 18 new loft-style condominiums are on the market at Davis Lofts.
The 21,000-square-foot – including 3,000 square feet of new construction – is a two-building mill renovation, said Dwight Leigh, principal of developer Three Kids LLC.
Four units have already sold, Leigh said Monday.
“In this market” that’s good, he added. “I’m a little impatient myself, but everyone tells me that’s very good.”
The building, a 133-year-old former mill, was built by jewelry manufacturer Curry & Richards. During the years since it’s been home to the Burton Shoe Company, American Hand Laundry, Eastern Jewelry Company and the Providence Felt Slipper Company, according Leigh, who is a Realtor with East Greenwich’s RE/Max Professionals.
Mayor David N. Cicilline and Rhode Island House Majority Leader Gordon Fox attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 13.
