PROVIDENCE – Three weekly farmers markets are now open in Rhode Island state parks, the R.I. Department of Environmental Management announced Friday.
The three markets will be open beginning this week through late October, the DEM said.

The markets are:
- Goddard Memorial State Park Farmers Market in Warwick – held Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Fisherman’s Memorial State Park Farmers Market in Narragansett – held Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Haines Memorial State Park Farmers Market on the East Providence and Barrington line – held on Wednesdays from 2-6 p.m.
The DEM also announced that it will be operating the Capitol Hill Farmers Market in Providence from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays from now until late October.

Coit in a statement. “Rhode Island’s farmers markets are terrific places to purchase beautiful plants and flowers. Throughout the season, these markets are wonderful sources of delicious and local fruits and vegetables, meats, and seafood. Visit one of our farmers’ markets for the loveliest flowers and freshest ingredients possible – direct from the farm to your garden and kitchen table!”
