FALL RIVER – In response to a suggestion on a customer survey, the Crawford Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has begun a new “Dine-In” program, featuring dinners from local restaurants that can be ordered by residents each month, according to Louise Merrick, executive director.
The first Dine-In program in January at the 124-bed facility, which currently has 109 patients, will feature pizza, a favorite, according to facility administrators.

Chinese, Italian and Portuguese foods from local restaurants – and all-time favorites pizza and burgers – can be ordered in each month for residents who so choose, according to Crawford’s Activities Director Debra Barros.
“Even though the food at Crawford is excellent,” said Lauretta Markland, the resident council president at Crawford. “We still like a special treat once in awhile from a local restaurant [that] we may not be able get out to so easily.”
