Donald A. Aker has been named technical operations manager for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center‘s Division Newport. He provides technical management of daily Division Newport operations required to accomplish the mission and tasks assigned by NUWC and the Naval Sea Systems Command. Aker most recently held the position of acting head, surface undersea warfare department. He has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of surface ship undersea warfare systems design, development and management. Aker lives in Portsmouth.
