In the College Hill area, Eater named Durk’s Bar-B-Q, the second concept from partners Jay Carr and Steve Durkee, known best for their downtown cocktail bar, The Eddy. Also in the area, Eater named Den Den Korean Fried Chicken for its “addictively good” wings and drumsticks.
Knead Doughnuts got the nod in Downtown Providence, as well as new Greek restaurant Kleos.
The East End on Wickenden Street was noted for its speakeasy vibe and whiskey selection. Also on Wickendon Street, Eater highlighted Jahunger, a restaurant that features food from the northern Uyghur region of China.
Eater also selected Bayberry Beer Hall in Providence’s Federal Hill neighborhood and Pastaio, a pasta restaurant in Providence’s West End.
