WARWICK – EDS, a global technology services company with a local office in Warwick, is inviting local school teachers and library media specialists to apply for $1,500 grants through its 2008 EDS Technology Grants program.
The company plans to award more than 100 technology grants worldwide in communities where EDS does business. The grants are designed to help teachers and library media specialists buy technology products and services not provided by their school systems, such as digital equipment, CD-ROM libraries, Internet access, software and training.
Applications will be judged based on innovation, proposal summary, instructional outcome, technology evaluation and budget summary. Teachers and library media specialists are highly encouraged to create innovative programs that use technology.
The application process is competitive and the deadline is March 1.
