Startup businesses were chosen to give two-and-a-half-minute pitches for cash prizes.

Judges included Liz Voss of South Eastern Economic Development Corp.; Ruth Chicca of Williams Estate and Financial Group of New Bedford; Deven Robitaille of the SouthCoast Chamber of Commerce; and Weston Faulkner of Faulkner & Associates.
First place and $1,000 went to Cape Cod Nail Co. of Sandwich, Mass., a mobile nail salon owned by Sarah Mason; Carissa Wills-DeMello of Westport won second place and $750, as well as a Fan Favorite award and another $500, with herbal company Bilo Herbs; third place and $500 went to Old Time Fiddle Lessons Online and Jeffrey Angeley of Mattapoisett, Mass.; and another Fan Favorite award and $500 went to Brooke Baptiste of Reggae on West Beach, who runs a multi-generational music event in New Bedford funded in part by the city’s parks and recreation department.
Based in Lowell, Mass., the accelerator program also has locations in Fall River and New Bedford.
