Exeter tech firm buys Mass. IT provider

EXETER – Carousel Industries completed the acquisition of Canton, Mass.-based TriNET Systems Inc. on Aug. 6. Company officials declined to discuss the financial terms of the acquisition.
TriNET locations and employees will now operate under the name of Carousel Industries, but will continue to provide communications services to existing customers.
“There is a great deal of synergy between the two companies, and this acquisition is going to allow us to offer a much broader set of capabilities to our customers,” said Ken Archer, TriNET Systems CEO.
According to Carousel Vice President of Sales James Marsh, Carousel will maintain TriNET’s current locations and staff, although some offices may be condensed or expanded in the future.
The acquisition signified an estimated 20 percent increase in employees for Carousel, bringing the total to roughly 750 employees in more than 30 offices in North America. In Rhode Island alone, Carousel employs about 150 people. •
