Michael Nula | Elite Physical Therapy founder and CEO
Since our founding, we have stuck to five key commitments that have kept our balance, focus and responsibility level in check as we continue to grow.
• Expansion can be especially scary if one is not organized or doesn’t prepare. The greatest responsibilities of a leader are to prepare, plan and organize. You must put time aside regularly to work on your business so that it doesn’t work on you.
• Before successfully expanding, one must make sure that the organizational foundation is strong. Have your fundamentals in place. Establish basic processes and policies so that you have clearly outlined the boundaries for your team to perform at a high level.
• Be sure to have strong team members who are committed to the company’s mission. Everyone must know their role on the team and their purpose. They must take personal responsibility each day to commit to being the best professional in every way to help the team and the people that are serviced.
• There must be good, fluid communication among team members, so that they are connected. Strengthen an environment that is safe and invested in developing the team’s skills, harmony and excellence, so that everyone is actively working together to solve problems.
• Stay true to your purpose and goals as a business owner. Don’t expand just to expand. Expand with purpose and remain consistent in promoting and protecting the company’s culture, positive impact and quality.
