PBN: What will Boston Realty Advisors specialize in, in Rhode Island?
BILOTTI: Boston Realty Advisors is an 18-year-old company, founded in Boston. We have the most unique real estate services platform in the market, delivering all disciplines under one roof and are now the largest independently owned real estate brokerage and advisory firm in Massachusetts. We excel at servicing privately held assets and specialize in luxury developments, small-balance multifamily, as well as office and retail throughout the Boston area. Our Providence office will initially focus on commercial real estate investment sales and commercial leasing.
PBN: What are some significant transactions in your other markets?
BILOTTI: In Boston, we are consistently the market leader in middle-market investment sales. Boston Realty Advisors notably sold the Green District Apartments, a Class A multifamily development, one of the largest real estate transactions ever done in Boston. Currently, and to list only a few, we exclusively represent Pier 4, a Tishman Speyer development in Seaport; The Mezz, a Boston Property Ventures development in south Boston; The Emerson, a trophy building in Cambridge, [Mass.]; and more than 75 commercial buildings throughout Boston’s many submarkets.
PBN: What about the Providence market attracted you and how long was the expansion under consideration?
BILOTTI: We love the Providence market. It has fantastic infrastructure and the majority of its real estate owners come from private capital and noninstitutional equity. Our services platform is a lightning rod for private capital.
PBN: Where are you located and how many employees will be dedicated to this region?
BILOTTI: The office is located at 203 South Main St., just south of Memorial Park, and is staffed by six experienced commercial real estate advisers.
PBN: What kinds of commercial properties are you most interested in representing?
BILOTTI: We look forward to working with and representing multifamily, retail, office, hospitality and industrial properties throughout Providence and southeast Massachusetts.
