Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar will provide support for Community Preparatory School’s annual Golf Classic. The school is an independent nonprofit that serves Providence area students in grades 3 through 8.
“Fleming’s has made a long-term commitment to supporting local community organizations like Community Preparatory School,” said Michael Edwards, Fleming’s operating partner. “We are proud to support this year’s Community Prep Golf Tournament through the donation of Fleming’s certificates,” he said.
“Our school represents a crossroads where a truly diverse group of students come together to learn, share, achieve and thrive, knowing they will go on to some of the best high schools and colleges in the country,” said Dan Corley, co-founder and head of Community Preparatory School. “Forming a community partnership with an organization like Fleming’s allows us to keep our mission going strong,” he said.
More than 92 percent of Community Prep graduates are accepted to college-preparatory high school programs and 82 percent continue onto college.
The event will take place in July. Fleming’s also has plans to sponsor Community Prep’s Founders Society Dinner in August. &8226;
