FM Global adds Hong Kong to its reach

FM Global, the 170-year-old commercial property insurer based in Johnston, has received approval to set up a branch office in Hong Kong.
“FM Global is seeing a strong correlation between companies moving their manufacturing operations into new world markets, like China, and significant increased risk to their global supply chains,” said Ruud Bosman, executive vice president, FM Global, in a press release.
Expanding into Hong Kong will allow the company to have greater and more direct access to that part of the world market. Including operations at the new branch office, FM Global will be able to offer services in more than 100 countries around the globe through its network of 50-plus offices.

FM Global is a $4.5 billion property insurer to more than one out of every three Fortune 1000 companies. Aside from its Johnston headquarters, the company has offices in Norwood and Waltham, Mass., and a research campus in Glocester. For more, go to www.fmglobal.com.
