JOHNSTON – FM Global said last week that it grew its local work force by nearly three percent in 2010, adding 27 full-time positions.
The company – one of the largest private property insurers in the world – said it filled 88 full-time local positions during the calendar year.
FM Global said that it anticipates continued hiring in 2011, estimating that it would add about 20 full-time positions locally, coming in the fields of information technology, underwriting, engineering and research.
“As FM Global continues to grow, it’s integral to our long-term success that we offer stable, challenging positions where qualified and talented people can make a difference and thrive,” said Enzo Rebula, senior vice president of human resources, in a statement.
The 175-year-old company employs 5,100 people in 61 offices worldwide including, its corporate headquarters in Johnston, a research campus in Glocester and Massachusetts offices in Waltham and Norwood. •
