Textron ranked No. 490. Forbes also named the aerospace, defense and industrial conglomerate one of America’s top rated public companies in America early in May.
The study polled more than 30,000 employees anonymously through several online panels that were not through employers. The most heavily weighted poll question in the report was how likely an employee would be to recommend working for their employer.
FM Global and Textron were the only Rhode Island companies on the Best Large Employers list, which comprised of 500 companies. Three companies from Rhode Island made the Best Mid-size Employers list, Brown University, Hasbro Inc. and Ocean State Job Lot.
