FM Global and Textron make it onto Forbes’ 2017 America’s Best Large Employers list

PROVIDENCE – FM Global and Textron Inc. ranked on the Forbes’ 2017 America’s Best Large Employers list.

FM Global ranked No. 112 on the list.

“Clearly our employees believe FM Global is a great place to work. Whether they are just beginning their careers with us or are experienced professionals, they receive competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and learning and development opportunities to support them in building a rewarding career,” said Thomas A. Lawson, the property and casualty insurer’s president and CEO, in a press release.

Textron ranked No. 490. Forbes also named the aerospace, defense and industrial conglomerate one of America’s top rated public companies in America early in May.

The study polled more than 30,000 employees anonymously through several online panels that were not through employers. The most heavily weighted poll question in the report was how likely an employee would be to recommend working for their employer.

FM Global and Textron were the only Rhode Island companies on the Best Large Employers list, which comprised of 500 companies. Three companies from Rhode Island made the Best Mid-size Employers list, Brown University, Hasbro Inc. and Ocean State Job Lot.
