Former GE official tapped by Textron

PROVIDENCE – Textron Inc. last week announced that former General Electric official Lloyd G. Trotter has been elected to the company’s board of directors.
Trotter, who retired as vice chairman of GE and president and chief executive officer of GE Industrial, is also a managing partner of GenNx360, a private equity buyout firm focused on industrial business-to-business companies.
According to a news release, Trotter began his 38-year career at GE as a field service engineer. He went on to hold production and technology positions in several GE businesses, including lighting, gas turbine and appliances. He was later elected vice president and general manager of Manufacturing for Electrical Distribution and Control where he was responsible for the entire manufacturing process and for the integration of 40 production facilities throughout the world.
