Gov.-elect Chafee names his transition team

PROVIDENCE – Gov.-elect Lincoln D. Chafee has named his transition team, The Associated Press reported.
Chafee last week announced a Transition Advisory Committee and a Transition Leadership Team, which consists of staff members, the AP said.
Providence lawyer Patrick Rogers will serve as chairman of the transition. The committee members include former U.S. Attorney Meg Curran, Dr. Pablo Rodriguez of Women and Infants Hospital; Bob Walsh, executive director of the state chapter of the National Education Association teachers’ union, and Helena Buonanno Foulkes, an executive at CVS Caremark Corp.
The AP said Steve Hourahan, who worked for Chafee when he was in the Senate, will direct the transition team. Other members include Chafee’s campaign manager Mike Trainor; former R.I. District Court Judge Steve Erikson and former Chafee staffer Jonathan Stevens. &#8226
