Gustave’s closing Westerly office

NEWPORT – Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty is closing its Westerly location and plans to move agents to its Newport headquarters.
In late June, the company announced that it would add 10 full-time agents when the Westerly location’s lease runs out.
“Increasingly, high performance agents like ours are on the road, working virtually and spending time with our clients,” co-owner Paul A. Leys said in a statement. “Our Newport location on famous Bellevue Avenue is central to all of Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut and is a great support hub for all our agents.”
Co-owner Christina West added, “In these challenging economic times, clients care more about service and marketing and less about where your desk is located. Our commitment to surpassing our clients’ expectations has never been stronger.”
Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty, established in 1925 as Andrews and White, became a Sotheby’s affiliate in June 2004. A privately owned real estate agency focusing on the high-end residential market, it has a team of 20 sales professionals serving Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut.
