PROVIDENCE – Peter Hayes, founder and partner of Hayes & Sherry Real Estate Services in Providence, has joined the board of directors at Delta Dental of Rhode Island, the state’s second-largest health and dental insurer announced.
Hayes is a member of the board of trustees at the Rhode Island Chamber of Business & Industry; an incorporator with The Providence Foundation; a member of the board of directors of the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council; a member of the Rhode Island Commodores; and a former advisory board member and mentor for Year Up Providence. He is the former vice president and regional manager of The Codman Co.’s Providence office.
A 1978 graduate of St. Lawrence University, Hayes is also the former president of the university’s Rhode Island Alumni Club.
“I welcome the opportunity to help set the course for the state’s largest and most trusted dental insurer and its subsidiary companies,” Hayes said. “This is an exciting time for the company, and I look forward to deploying my skills in its service.”
Delta Dental of Rhode Island and its subsidiary, Altus Dental Insurance Co., insure a combined 475,696 customers – 322,411 members by Delta Dental and 153,285 members by Altus, according to the Providence Business News 2019 Book of Lists.
