LITTLE COMPTON – The renovation of the historic Stone House, a former membership club and inn, into a hotel will be completed this summer.

Originally an estate owned by Civil War Colonel Henry Tillinghast Sisson, who also served as Rhode Island lieutenant governor, the building was turned into an inn in the 1920s, according to Goosewing.
“The restoration has been a substantial undertaking and well worth the effort,” Goosewing co-founder Craig Pishotti said in a statement. “The restored hotel will be a magnificent coastal retreat and will certainly be an economic driver for Little Compton’s tourism industry.”
