Open house features tours, live music and the opening of The Blackstone
PAWTUCKET, Rhode Island (July 2, 2007) – Last Saturday marked the first annual open house event for the Hope Artiste Village, celebrating its tenant community and welcoming its first restaurant, The Blackstone.

Nearly one thousand people visited the property for live, local music; food catered by The Blackstone; and a chance to explore the development of new artist live/work lofts, retail and art studio models, workshop studios, office suites.
Since November 2006, Hope Artiste Village has welcomed more than 20 artists and small businesses to the historic Hope Webbing Mill. The open house introduced this new tenant community to the public.
“Attendance was tremendous,” said Ron Wierks, East Coast representative of Urban Smart Growth, developer of Hope Artiste Village. “This is only the beginning, to celebrate our accomplishments thus far.”
“We thank the City of Pawtucket for the opportunity to show what Urban Smart Growth can achieve through our urban-renewal program,” said Wierks.
Hope Artiste Village will host another open house in September, in congruence with the Pawtucket Arts Festival, to showcase the growing community.
