PROVIDENCE – The I-195 Redevelopment District Commission is accepting applications for executive director through the end of August.

The position is responsible for directing and leading the district’s marketing and development efforts. The district encompasses 19 contiguous acres of developable land, which were left from the movement of the highway.

Former I-195 Commission Executive Director Peter McNally left his position in June. He is now senior vice president at EverWest Real Estate Investors. His predecessor, Jan Brodie, the commission’s first executive director, left in 2015 and is now executive director of the Pawtucket Foundation.

Both were paid $192,400.

The post is now held by interim director Caroline Skuncik, the commission’s former vice president and senior project manager.

According to the position posting, the requirements for director include a degree “in public or business administration, finance, real estate, architecture, engineering or a related field” and experience through employment in a professional position “involving capital asset management, real estate property development, business development, marketing and or property leasing within a private or governmental setting.”

The salary is commensurate with experience, according to the commission spokeswoman.

Responses are requested with resume and salary history by Aug. 31 to Robert David, chairman of the commission.
