IGT renews instant-ticket deal with Iowa Lottery

INTERNATIONAL GAME TECHNOLOGY has helped Iowa reach record scratch-ticket sales, leading to a new contract with the Iowa Lottery, said Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich.

PROVIDENCE – International Gaming Company PLC announced it has received a notice of intent for an Iowa Lottery instant-ticket printing contract. Negotiations are complete, the company said in a press release.

IGT will continue to provide instant-ticket game planning and marketing, research and analytics, graphics support and the production and printing of instant tickets through December 2020. The proposed contract also allows for four one-year renewal options, according to IGT.

Both companies say they look forward to continuing a strong partnership that began in 2015.

“The company’s support and innovation have helped us achieve record years of scratch-ticket sales,” said Terry Rich, Iowa Lottery CEO.

“IGT and the Iowa Lottery have worked together to launch successful instant games, including the $10 Super Triple 777s, which is the strongest-performing $10 game since its launch in January 2016,” said Jay Gendron, IGT chief operations officer, lottery.

Instant tickets produced for the Iowa Lottery since 2015 have contributed $68 million in sales to support the Iowa Veterans Trust Fund; a variety of significant projects through the state general fund; and the Vision Iowa program, which was implemented to create tourism destinations and community attractions in the state and build and repair schools.
