John Murphy has been appointed director of graduate medical education at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, and Bradley Hospital. The GME program encompasses residency and fellowship training programs across a broad range of medical and surgical specialties. Murphy also serves as associate director of the division of geriatrics in the department of medicine for Rhode Island Hospital. He is also a professor of medicine and family medicine at Brown Medical School and the director of the geriatric medicine fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital. He previously worked as director of the family residency at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.
