July Geek Dinner to feature ShutterCal

PROVIDENCE – For its last meetup of the summer, Providence Geeks is hosting ShutterCal, an alumnus of the Betaspring startup accelerator.
Geek Dinner organizer Jack Templin describes the calendar-based daily photo journal as “creating waves in the family photo market.”
The Providence-based startup provides its users with interactive calendar and Web and mobile tools for posting their favorite photo of each day, topping it off with print services for everything from postcards to gallery prints.
Co-Founder and CEO Scott Harris will join the Providence Geeks on Wednesday to tell the ShutterCal story, demonstrate the service and give a glimpse into the company’s future.
The July meetup will take place Wednesday, July 17, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the AS200 in Providence. Attendance is free, though food and drink are not.
