KidzArt, schools collaborate for student creativity

As the nation celebrates Youth Art Month in March, one Warwick organization has made a business out of offering creative enrichment opportunities to as many kids as possible.
“Whether it’s in or after school, every child should experience … creative outlets because they are proven to be so beneficial to a child’s intellectual, personal and social development,” said Julie Lamin, executive director of KidzArt in Warwick.
Founded in 1998, KidzArt is an international art enrichment franchise company that helps kids of all ages explore their artistic potential. KidzArt ranked in Entrepreneur magazine’s Top New 50 Franchises for 2007, was named Top Children’s Art Franchise for 2006 and has been in the Franchise 500 for the past six years.
