PROVIDENCE – Lifespan has appointed three directors to new roles in research, marketing and finance.
Dr. Michelle Lally was named medical director for the newly established Rhode Island Clinical Research Center. The center will serve as a statewide resource and is expected to engage in all varieties of clinical research for new pharmacologic agents, biologics, medical devices and nonpharmacologic clinical interventions. In her new role, Lally will oversee the center’s functions.
The center is supported by a grant from the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, and jointly supported by Lifespan, the University of Rhode Island, The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Women & Infants Hospital, with a special gift from XiMedica Inc.
Lucille Medeiros has been promoted to director of marketing. In this role, Medeiros will oversee all of the marketing and branding efforts for the Lifespan hospitals. Prior to joining Lifespan in 2005, she managed client accounts at a full-service advertising and branding agency in Atlanta.
Laurie Miller was promoted to director of finance. Miller will oversee all of Lifespan’s accounts payable and accounting functions as well as its IRS reporting/tax compliance for Lifespan Corporate Services. •
