The cancer center officially opened in late 2019, but closed soon after due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now operating at full scale, said Dr. David Wazer, director of the Lifespan Cancer Institute.

“Lifespan Cancer Institute has undergone tremendous growth in recent years. We have been actively recruiting some of the nation’s foremost clinicians and researchers and greatly expanding the number and diversity of clinical trials we can offer our patients, including promising and newly emerging immunotherapies,” Wazer said.
