Manufacturing reliable products with high quality is difficult. We're reminded of this regularly with news of recalls or other supply-chain challenges from companies much larger than ours. At AVTECH, we've found that working locally is the key to being a successful global company.
Our Room Alert products monitor environment conditions to send alerts before disaster strikes, which could mean the difference between a minor inconvenience or a major business outage. Working locally means we have agility in our supply chain and can maintain available inventory to ship quickly when customers need us most. We're not waiting for the next shipment from overseas.
Still, we are proud to be a global company and like to say that through our Room Alert products, a little piece of Rhode Island is now in 184 countries worldwide.
I grew up in a family business and very much appreciate the advantages of established relationships with both customers and suppliers. Working locally is as much about benefiting from those good relationships as it is the improved logistics. It's much easier to make a short drive down the road rather than traveling across the world to offshore manufacturing facilities. Our suppliers are integrated in our business in a way that a long-distance connection would not allow. A handshake is always more impactful than an email or phone call.
With recent news about the state of manufacturing in the United States, we hope AVTECH may stand as an example of how manufacturing in the U.S. is not only possible, but in our case, thriving. •
