PAWTUCKET – Recovery Fest 2018, hosted at Pawtucket’s McCoy Stadium by New York-based nonprofit Above the Noise Foundation, will be headlined by Macklemore on Saturday, Sept. 29.
The inaugural festival, which will take place rain or shine from 5-10 p.m., will also feature performances by Fitz and the Tantrums, PVRIS and James Montgomery.
Above the Noise Foundation puts on concerts that are drug- and alcohol-free. Starting at $59, tickets are available at the stadium box office or by calling (401) 724-7300.
“It’s an honor to partner with an organization that is making such a wonderful statement through the power of music,” said Pawtucket Red Sox President Charles Steinberg in prepared remarks. “Like baseball, music unites us, and we are pleased to be able to use our ballpark to bring together so many people from so many walks of life who share a desire to improve our community, and share a desire to enjoy the performance of Macklemore.”
Proceeds from the late September event will benefit the Above the Noise Foundation, which also supports local nonprofits, including Anchor Recovery Community Centers in Pawtucket.
